Screen Time iMessage Conflict

When I turn on my screen time, why does it sign me out of my iMessages? No child restrictions, just restriction that things like passwords can't be changed in the event that I lose my phone. I'm not sure what the conflict is with the two but I can't afford to miss important messages while trying to protect myself.

Screen time request to imessage, why?? why the hell is my children's screen time now set to imessage? this feature is very broken. the request in a timely manner was fine, when it only came as a notification. before I had these come silently, now if I do this, of course the normal imessage sounds are not heard nor the normal text messages. why do you have to start blocking the messages program with this, when it worked fine before. Please Apple, go back to normal notification system, not the text message trash.

iMessage apps not working with screentime Hello! My stickers and other iMessage apps aren’t working when my screen time restrictions are on.I can’t use Memoji anymore because my parents added screen time restrictions. They are trying hard to turn them off for iMessage apps but they can’t find out how, and gave me the task to find out how. I’ve found someone else with this problem and someone replied with links about how, but they didn’t work. So many people have this problem online and people I know also have this issue. thank you for anyone who helps,

Screen Time request via iMessage? I remember during the iOS reveal this was a feature that was announced with purchase requests and extra screen time permission requests being sent through iMessage. I thought this was a feature that was being added with iOS16 however I don’t know how to enable this. Does anyone else know or was this feature delayed? Thank you. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

I don't think the above has any linkage to iMessage de-activation.

However, you do not need Screen Time Restrictions to prevent Apple ID password change. It can't be changed if you have 2 factor authentication turned on.
