Anyone got this message ?
Hey there Aramisti,
It sounds like your audio interface is unable to connect to macOS that is currently installed on an external disk, is that correct? If so, you may want to veirfy with the manufacturer that this configuration is supported by their product.
Have a good one!
Hi Aramisti,
It sounds like you're getting an error on your Mac. We're happy to help, and will need to get some information to work out what steps you can take.
Can you provide us with some details, including the context in which that message appears? For example, what actions are you taking, and what app are you using?
While the best steps are going to depend on what's happening, a restart of your Mac is always a good general step to start with if you haven't tried that already. Here's how to Shut down or restart your Mac.
Kind regards.
Here is my problem.
1- MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max 64 GB ram 2 Tera internal SSD Ventura 13.3 Everything works fine with
2- I did a timeMachine backup of that internal SSD
3- My plan was to get the same on an external 2 Tera external SSD
4- So I did a restore on that external SSD and I got back that TimeMachine backup to that external drive
5- Then, I have rebooted on that external SSD and verified if all was ok and it looked like it was, but......
6- My external audio interface did not show but I was able to see it was connected as an usb device
7- Knowing that this interface needed a driver, I have re-installed the driver following religiously the procedure from the Interface company that support it in Ventura.
8- Then, being in touch with the Audio Interface company , they told me that it look like a bug with MacOsx
9- The message that you see in the title is a result of a command the company have given to me to try in the terminal to bring back info to them about the driver , I suppose .
10- I do not like not being able to duplicate my boot drive ;-)
Hi Aramisti,
If you would like to determine why this is happening, and what can be done for the error, then you'll need to contact Apple Support. They can look further into what's happening.
Take care!
