Apple Watch dinging but no notifications

If your Apple Watch is paired with an iPhone, and f your iPhone is unlocked and nearby, your notifications may be appearing on your iPhone. To check this, open the Notification Center on your iPhone or Apple Watch the next time you receive an alert. 

You can also change the notification settings for your watch to customize how your app notifications are shown. Please review the following Apple Support articles for more information:

If you are noticing unexpected behavior after enabling notification settings as you would like, try to update and restart each device following these instructions: 

• Restart your iPhone.
• Update your iPhone or iPad.
• Restart your Apple Watch.
• Update your Apple Watch.
