com.macvpn.MACVPNhelper
I get a pop from stating that com.macvpn.MACVPNhelper will damage my computer, which I have no doubt it will. When I move the offending file to the trash, I am prompted for my profile password.
My research indicates that com.macvpn.MACVPNhelper is adware, not ransomware. I've run several Malwarebyte scans, all of which have been clean. There is nothing in System Preferences > Profiles or > Extensions from com.macvpn.MACVPNhelper, so I do not believe my computer is being actively exploited.
Does anyone know if it is safe / prudent to enter my admin password so I can trash the com.macvpn.MACVPNhelper file? Or is there a safer way to get rid of this file?
Thanks for the help!
