iphone 14 data usage

I have been contemplating a phone upgrade to the iPhone 14 pro or Pro Max, however I have heard from a couple people that when they upgraded to the 14 or above their data usage spiked dramatically with little to no actual usage - settings were the same as what they had on their previous phones. Has anyone else experienced this ? Is this something Apple is addressing. I don't want to somehow need 700 GB of data to get me thru the day.
