How do I get my reminders back on my Mac?

How do I get my reminders back?

OK, I have MacOS 12.6.2, a iPhone 14 with iOS 16, and an older Mac on HS. I just upgraded Reminders on the Monterey Mac. All my reminders are GONE. I read above, not very satisfying saying I should have:

  • If you create new iCloud reminders on a secondary device that's running iOS 13 or later or macOS Catalina, but you haven't yet opened the new Reminders app on that device — for example, if you used Siri to create reminders — those reminders will be lost when you open the app for the first time. To avoid this, open the Reminders app once before you create any new reminders on an updated device.

NOT GOOD, I should have read everything before upgrading Reminders? Not Good Apple.

SO HOW DO I GET MY REMINDERS BACK?

You don't. They are gone.

I have an Ancient Mac Mini from 2011 stuck on High Sierra 10.13.6

I also have 2 Machines running Ventura 13.3 and an iPhone on iOS 16.4

Whatever Reminders that appeared in macOS 10.13.6 in High Sierra are Gone and Never to be returned - period

FYI and for the benefit of the Computer and iPhone

I called Apple and gave them a piece of my mind, yet we got disconnected, they called back but that got disconnected. So I called back and luckily got a top engineer that was filling 'on the phones' as they were short handed. He helped restore the Reminders on my Monterey MBP.

1) go to languages & region, on right make sure you are on Region: United States.

2) go to Apple ID, on left select 'iCloud'

3) on right make sure Reminders is checked. Mine was, and on reboot, Reminders re-downed all my reminders. He mentioned un-checking and re-checking but I didn't have to do that.
