According to Apple, you can ask Siri to change the media volume. However, while the request elicits a response, it does not actually change the volume.
Below is the response to the request: "Hey Siri, set media volume to 50%" -- As you can see, the volume indicator remains where it was prior to the request.
Is this a bug, was the feature removed, or am I doing something wrong?

Okay, I updated iOS to 16.4 but the problem appears to persist, but I think it’s a UI bug, only.
With my AirPods out, asking Siri to the set media volume, via the sleep/wake button or saying Hey Siri, works fine - both visually and with an actual volume change. However, when wearing my AirPods, Siri acknowledges my requests but does not update the wide volume bar, but does change the volume. This happens both while playing and when not playing audio.
So, the update helped some, but there a tiny bug left…
I only noticed this the other day when I tried to set the volume while wearing my AirPods Pro Series 2
i just tested it again and it doesn’t work when I ask using my AirPods, but it does work without the AirPods.
i just noticed that 16.4 is now available - I will update to that version and try again. Stay tuned…
