Change Siri’s volume via a shortcut?

How does one change Siri’s volume within a shortcut so that the volume of a Speak action can be controlled? Set volume does not affect Siri’s volume. The example Shortcut demonstrates this statement. Siri’s volume remains the same regardless of the value of the first Set volume. iOS 15.6, iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I’m seeing this issue too, iOS 15.6.1 on both iPad and iPhone.

Actually, it appears to me that once a ‘speak’ task has run, Siri’s volume setting is used for all subsequently played sounds as long as the shortcut runs, ignoring any volume setting done in the shortcut. I’ve not yet found a way around that.

See below a modified version of your shortcut which demonstrates this. The ‘play sound’ task at the bottom will change the volume by itself to the volume Siri uses and ignore my own volume setting.
