Poor call quality using bluetooth in the car

I’ve seen multiple people bring up bad call quality over Bluetooth on late model Lexus vehicles. I own a 2014 Lexus LX and the call quality has become choppy since updating to iOS 15 on my iPhone 11. I’m currently on iOS 16.3.1 and the problem still persists. The call quality is fine when I’m connected to Bluetooth in my other vehicle with an aftermarket Kenwood head unit. It seems to be an issue purely with Lexus (possibly Toyota) vehicles. Can someone at Apple please look into this issue? Phone calls over Bluetooth in my Lexus is basically useless now.
