Photo Titles in iOS?

Apple allows you to add Titles to each photo in Mac OS Photos, but not in IOS, nor can you see the Titles you added on your Mac while viewing them in IOS. This has been the case for three years of gradually improving synchronization between MacOS and IOS via iCloud, and it still hasn't been fixed. It strikes me as a glaring egregious omission. Searching for titles should be supported on phones and tablets, certainly.

Does Apple have any plans to fix this omission?

Instead of the titles we can add subtitles on our iOS devices (since iOS 14). We can search for the captions and see them in the Info for a photo. The captions will be synced with iCloud to the Mac and appear in the captions field of the info in Photos. View photos in the Photos app on iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

I am currently adding the most important information about a photos twice:

  • On the Mac the title field is the more useful field, as the title can be displayed below the thumbnails of a photo and can be used as the filename, when exporting the photos. So the important information should appear in the title, while viewing the photos on a Mac or in iCloud at www.icloud.com.
  • On my iPhone and iPad I can only see the captions, so I am duplicating the titles on my Mac as captions, to able to see them on the iPhone and iPad as well .
