motion cover art Music in MacOS

I want to turn off the motion (animated) cover art on my iMac running MacOS 13.2.1. Tried Settings in Music and there is nothing about motion (animated) cover art. The results on Google on this all seem to relate to iOS or the bug that hides all cover art. I have cover art I just want to to sit still there and stay out of the way while I listen to my music. Yes, I am a bit frustrated, Apple Inc.

Greetings jgdean,

You may want to check your Apple Music Advanced settings to see if "Automatically update artwork for imported songs" is enabled for your Mac. If it is, you may want to disable it. This will ensure only the album art of your choice is there, and it does not automatically update on its own (potentially) to an animated one. For more information on how to access these settings, check out the info on this page: Change Advanced settings in Music on Mac - Apple Support.

Otherwise, there are no other settings to disable animated album art completely. You can reach out to Apple Support directly to provide your feedback on the matter. To do so, click here: Product Feedback - Apple.

We hope this information helps you out.

Cheers!
