does not help. Even if a crop it small under photos when I go to use it on wall paper its still to big. Ill keep at it. Im usually good at figuring things out but !!thanks Or even if I take the photo from my library after downsizing it there it still is too bog there.. I feel something is wrong with the perspective zoom setting. You should be able to make it smaller from there but it does not hold....

Hi there stanbudbea67,

We'd suggest backing up and updating your iPhone to the most current software version, which is iOS 16.3.1. If needed, learn how to update here: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If the issue with adjusting your photos for your iPhone wallpaper persists afterwards, you'll want reach out to Apple Support directly for further assistance. Hey stanbudbea67,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

The information below may help with using the a photo as wallpaper. The steps below may help.

  1. "Go to Settings  > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper.

2. Select one of your own photos (tap an album, then tap the photo).

To reposition your selected image, pinch open to zoom in on it, then drag the image to move it. Pinch closed to zoom back out."

This article may help as well: Personalize your iPhone Lock Screen. It discusses how to reposition a photo by zooming in/out which should change the size of the photo to use a the wallpaper.

Another option is to the edit photo prior to setting as a wallpaper. prior to using as a wallpaper. You may be able to reduce the size. Here's a great about back it: Edit photos and videos on iPhone.

Hope this helps. Take care.
