Why does Apple not support Quicken?

Why does the Apple credit card not support Quicken?

I am well aware that I can export files and manually import them. I do this already. However, this "support" requires my valuable time, and it does not permit timely entry of data. For example, none of my March transactions are available to import manually until April 1, when the March statement becomes available. Of all of my financial accounts only Goldman Sachs does not permit automatic linking of accounts on Quicken. This is not what I expect from Apple. If you think this is a trivial complaint, I am seriously contemplating cancelling my Apple Card over this issue.

You can only gain “real time” access using an iOS/iPadOS Trusted device w/ biometric authentication on a 2FA protected AppleID.

I too wonder why my own MBP isn’t included … but the simple fact is that it’s NOT.

(Sorta like why iPads didn’t have built-in calculators)

Who says it doesn't?

You can export your monthly statements in Quicken compatible formats OFX and QFX: click here ➜ Download or export your Apple Card statements and transactions - Apple Support

These fils can then be imported directly into Quicken.

We fellow users understand your complaint.

However, one of the the AppleCard’s primary features is added security.

You can only gain “real time” access using a Trusted device w/ biometric authentication on a 2FA protected AppleID.

So … the AppleCard is not for everybody.

You might well decide that the “benefits” don’t outweigh the “costs” - it’s doubtful that anyone here will try to argue otherwise …

… as only you can make that calculation.

I work on a Apple MacBook Pro with an Apple M1 Pro chip running Ventura 13.2.1. It has biometric authentication.

Is there a document which explains how to gain “real time access using a Trusted device w/ biometric authentication on a 2FA protected AppleID"?

For the same reason you can't easily add a timestamp in Apple Notes. In other words, no good reason!
