Anyone else’s autocorrect acting weird??

Ever since yesterday morning, my autocorrect has been acting so freaking weird. It will autocorrect words like “glad” into “flas” and “typed” into “tupes” even when it shows that I typed the right word. It’s also been auto capitalizing words that don’t need to be capitalized. I’ve never had this problem before, it just started yesterday morning but it’s driving me crazy. It’s literally spelling out gibberish.

Hi ilovestargate,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We would recommend the steps from the guide below that can help with auto correct and predictive text:

Use predictive text on iPhone

Accept or reject a predictive text suggestion
While typing text, you can do either of the following:
* Accept a suggested word or emoji by tapping it; accept a highlighted suggestion by entering a space or punctuation.
* When you tap a suggested word, a space appears after the word. If you enter a comma, period, or other punctuation, the space is deleted.
* Reject the suggestions by tapping your original word (shown as the predictive text option with quotation marks).
* A note in the Notes app showing a list being edited, with suggestions for completing the next word.
Turn off predictive text
1. While editing text, touch and hold the Next Keyboard, Emoji key or the Switch Keyboard key.
2. Tap Keyboard Settings, then turn off Predictive.
When you turn off predictive text, iPhone may still try to suggest corrections for misspelled words. To accept a correction, enter a space or punctuation, or tap Return. To reject a correction, tap the “x.” If you reject the same suggestion a few times, iPhone stops suggesting it.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.
