Fitness App won’t show friends activity

Hi,

My Apple fitness app is displaying zero for all my friends activity, but they display correctly on my watch.

I’ve seen in other posts the suggestion is to delete and re-add a friend, however when I try to delete anyone I get an error message saying that can’t be done.

I’ve also tried restarting my phone and unpairing and repairing my watch, as well as checking the software is up to date.

any other suggestions?
