DownTime and App Restrictions not working

My child's iPhone 6s is completely ignoring app restrictions (can't get YouTube to restrict at all, even when other apps seem to gray out during downtime). I've deleted apps, reloaded them, reset app restrictions and time limits, gone through the screen time settings a hundred times and now after I turned his phone off and back on to see if that fixed it, ALL the apps are available to use, even though it's 11:09pm anc his down time starts at 9pm thru 8am. We have iOS15.7.3 and are up to date with software currently. I don't think I'm the only one with this issue. What to do?? And please don't anyone tell me how to set up screen time restrictions and app restrictions--I've done all this and I KNOW how to do all this--it just ain't working people. And YouTube is the one app I need to restrict! Thanks

Hey there, MyMadLif,

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

We are happy to help you figure out what might be going on with Screen Time and hopefully resolve this issue with you. Keeping your device up to date is always the best place to start, so that is great to hear. It sounds like you're comfortable having gone over the basics, but we do want to recommend going over the basics of using parental controls just to ensure that all of our bases are covered. This article has more info: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

We would recommend specifically making sure that "Block at Downtime" is enabled under the Downtime section in Settings > Screen Time, and that "Block at End of Limit" is enabled under App Limits > [Limit Name]. Note that each app will have its own "Block at End of Limit" toggle.

We hope this does the trick for you!

Cheers.
