Why is my GarageBand App missing?

I upgraded to Catalina months ago and now realize Garageband is no longer on my iMac. That's just stupid. I may as well ditch this thing and get a windows or Linux machine. I hate this manipulative crap to get me to buy a new computer I don't need.

All I know is that it was on my computer when I bought it. I bout it new from Best Buy. I used it a little bit. But now I can’t find it on my computer at all. I assumed the last upgrade removed it. I researched and saw other people saying the same happened to them.

I did look in my purchases. I went to the App Store, clicked on my picture and clicked on purchases. I do think it’s strange because when I do that on my iPad, there’s dozens of apps listed. When I do that on my iMac, there’s only six or seven apps listed. I haven’t added a lot of apps to my iMac but there’s at least 20 apps on there that don’t show up in purchases.
