iPad safari markup/annotation blurry low quality

The handwritten markup / annotations made in safari appear blurry and low quality.

The issue persists irrespective if markup option in safari is used or if prior to marking up a screenshot is taken.

Using an up to date ipadAir 5gen and Apple Pencil 2.

Any ideas?
