Mouse goes horizontal when scrolling with shift key

I recently brought a iMac but whenever I try to play some games with this Bluetooth mouse and I scroll while holding the shift key, it scrolls horizontal.Any way to fix it?

Why is my Magic Mouse so erratic on my iMac? I am using an Apple bluetooth magic mouse on a 20,1 iMac running Sequoia 15.0.1. When I use the mouse it is very erratic and nearly impossible to land the cursor on a specific spot. I have gone to settings and adjusted the mouse speed down to the lowest position. This has helped a very small amount and I now need to move the mouse nearly two feet on my desktop to move the cursor the with of a letter sized page. In general it appears that the magic mouse is not compatible with my iMac. Are there any solutions other than going out and purchasing a new mouse? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Magic Mouse is not scrolling on MacBook Air 13" running macOS Sonoma 14.7 Followed all the suggestions on site - still will not scroll. I have a MacBook Air from 2018/2019 but was told the mouse is compatible. Is there anything I can do? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

That's normal for a non-Apple mouse with a scroll wheel. Don't know if it can be disabled.
