Your iPad Pro 9.7” is classified as “vintage” by Apple - and as such, repairs and battery replacement are still available while OEM parts remain available.

Tim - went to Apple Store to check on battery replacement. Was told they do not do battery replacements on iPads so I bought a new Gen10 iPad w/64GB. They gave me $45.00 credit for old unit. I'm satisfied - time for a new one anyway.

Thanks for your reply. Went to local Apple store but was told Apple no longer replaces batteries in iPads so bought new Gen10 64GB iPad. Apple gave me $45.00 trade-in allowance. I'm satisfied and pleased with new device.
