floating home button disappeared again

For those who stumble onto this chat because their virtual button has disappeared. I just found out from Apple Support Assistive Touch virtual home button does not work (disappears) with ”Accessability - Display & Text Size -  Bold Text” turned on. Turning this off and my virtual button comes back. IPadOS 17.5.

my home button is broken and I was using the assistive touch for the floating screen button. When I tried to re-enable it, it shows the triple home button push now, which I can’t do.

I have a 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 and I have noticed it far too many times. Specifically after 16.2 update. It doesn’t go away. Updated to latest version 16.4.1, multiple times restarted but still it’s an issue. Since my home button works, I have to press it 3x times to enable/disable after Restart and doing that aggressively for 5-6 times shows up the floating home button.

hope this is addressed in next update.

I just updated to iOS 16.5 and the floating home button is back.

How do I reinstall my floating home button in my XR10. Thanks.
