39.99 for…

Can the financial department or the appropriate department at Apple be specific about the $39.99 charge? A charge cannot be explained as ‘it can be several things…’ Plus, the charge has been

manipulated so that it cannot be rendered inactive. So it lives as an automatic unexplained charge.

A solution would be to add “will appear as an Apple charge for…” the amount of the charge when indeed a charge is debited. Or to openly state “for the privilege of using Apple” when you could be using something else… when the charge actually is incurred.

it does feel like the little guy under the foot of the corporation cannot escape the awful fate

Hello elisantonieta,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. We understand you see a charge you do not recognize. We have a few steps that will help you identify the charges.

If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support

"How to see what you were charged for

  1. To see your purchase history, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. A list of purchases appears. To see family members' purchases, select the Apple ID button and choose a family member.
  4. To see the full receipt including tax, tap or click the date. Multiple purchases, including subscriptions, might be grouped onto one charge.

If the charge is for a subscription that you no longer want, you can cancel the subscription.

If you still can't identify the charge

Can't find a matching charge at reportaproblem.apple.com? Find out if you used another account to make a purchase.

  1. Search your email for the words “receipt from Apple.”
  2. Look for a receipt that matches the amount that you see on your billing statement.
  3. On the receipt, see what was purchased and which Apple ID was used.

Email showing receipt from Apple that includes the Apple ID of the person who made the purchase.

If you checked reportaproblem.apple.com and your emailed receipts and you're still not sure why you were charged, contact Apple Support."

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
