I am trying to delete watch faces. Following instructions does not allow me to do so. Why?

To delete watch faces on Apple Watch, the best way to do is to open the Watch App on your iPhone. Tap My Watch, bottom left. At the top you'll see My Faces. Tap Edit and a red circle with - sign in it will appear to the left of each watch face on your watch. Tap any circle next to a face you want to delete and they will delete.

If you are trying to delete watch faces in the face gallery, you can't do that.
