ADDING MISCELLANEOUS CARDS TO APPLE WALLET

I would like to add various cards to APPLE WALLET so I don't have to carry them in my physical wallet.

These include but are not limited to membership cards in in various social organizations. THE Wallet app only lists Debit or Credit Cards as well as Transit Card and Drivers license for selected states.

When I scan an AARP card, it won't let me complete the process without entering a CCV number which is not applicable to this card.

Is there a better way to add cards than to scan them directly into WALLET?

Some cards and memberships can be added to Wallet by way of the app for those organizations (just not directly to the Wallet). AARP is one example; Rebox is another. Many grocery stores and pharmacies are set up to do this. Will not solve all of your needs, but may take care of some

As you have discovered, not all cards, passes, etc. are optimized to work with the Apple Wallet. I would not do this for a credit or debit card, but for passes, I take a photo and keep it in a separate photo album. It works for me.
