Time Machine Repeatedly Fails to Copy to External Hard Drive

Hello, I just got a new 4TB SanDisk SSD Hard Drive and began trying to backup my 2018 macbook pro (BigSur 11.7.4) via Time Machine. I repeatedly run into the following problem: The first backup works, but one of the subsequent backup fails and says it was unable to copy a file. I used "log show" to find the details, and I have tried identifying the files/folders that fail to copy and Exclude them from being backed-up. But last time it failed on a file that is within a hidden folder and cannot be Excluded from Time Machine (error log shown below). The really devastating part is that most times after this failure the Hard Drive is no longer readable and I have to Erase and start again. Any ideas? Should I just give up?
