Several times, when filling out on line forms in Safari, the page I am working on slides to the right and disappears. I am not aware of doing anything that would cause this. Often it seems to be when I am trying to relocate the cursor o the page. Any ideas? Is there anything that I can do to disable this? I use a MacBook Air.

I think you may be inadvertently selecting a "hot corner" that causes all open windows to slide out of view. You can completely disable that feature if you choose.
Refer to this excerpt from Use hot corners on Mac - Apple Support:
"For each corner you want to use, click the pop-up menu, then choose an option, such as Notification Center, Launchpad, or Lock Screen."
