Random milliseconds of Silence in Audio playback on Mac M1

Several users using audio interfaces from the high end studio manufacturer RME Audio experience problems with audio playback in Cubase, Logic, Protools, Safari, Spotify and other apps. Some have reported that disabling system sounds help. Others have problems without system sounds. The manufacturer RME claims this is caused by Apples changes in the Ventura OS. This situation has been going on for many months and Apples support said they were not aware of this problem and suggested updating OS to latest version or swapping USB ports.

The problem is that in middle of playback some bits are lost and a short break of some milleseconds or ut to a second of silence occurs before audio returns. This has been noticed on several different computers with M1 chips.

Problem remains.
