I bought FCPX pre-packaged with my IMac, worked wonderfully, and I was able to use it with other family member accounts on the same computer. I now have a new macbook for a different family member, I want them to be able to use FCPX. I don't use it, I don't really care if it gets switched out of my account or whatnot. Is there a way to do this through family-sharing without putting my account on the computer?

I think you would need to contact App Store support. If their Apple ID is associated as a family member, they should be able to download it from the Purchased page. I believe that’s how it’s meant to work.

Thanks, but they are added to the family sharing plan. When I go to the app store and type in FCPX, it says it costs the full price of 299$. It should work if I add my account to the mac, I've done it before, but I don't really want to do that. Any other way?
The other person has to be added to your family sharing plan, which I believe means they make purchases through the designated credit card.
I will note that I am not the family organizer.
