Volume mixer solution for Mac?

Hi everyone,

Do you know if there is a Windows volume mixer equivalent for Mac? I want to find a way to turn down different applications manually.

Mac Volume Mixer It is 2023 and macOS is unbelievably powerful, however, the complete lack of any way to mute individual apps is sort of unacceptable in this day and age. Apple, can we please have a volume mixer? The lack of one where every other device on the planet has one is insane.

Audacity won't install FCP's Sound Isolation plugin in Ventura? To be honest, I did not know that Audacity installed FCP plugins until 5 minutes ago. I have been using Audacity on my Monterey iMac for the past year with no problems. Yesterday I updated to macOS Ventura and this morning , when I opened Audacity, this popup appeared. Can I assume that Ventura has created this problem? P.S. As I finished writing this I noticed that FCP has Voice Isolation not Sound Isolation so where is this plugin from?

How to remove virtual audio inputs in MacOS Ventura? I have some applications that apparently have an audio component to them. Specifically, I have a remote desktop control app that I use, called Jump Desktop (great app BTW) that can play the audio of the remote computer and apparently I can use my mic to maybe use a conferencing app on the remote side. My problem is that every so often, my inputs randomly change and I have to scramble to find out why people can't here me on my local device. I want to be able to just remove the audio inputs and outputs from some apps, as I never use them. But where we used to have the +/- signs to manage those, Ventura has removed them. So how do I remove these virtual audio devices from my system? Thanks for your help. Rich
