It is 2023 and macOS is unbelievably powerful, however, the complete lack of any way to mute individual apps is sort of unacceptable in this day and age. Apple, can we please have a volume mixer? The lack of one where every other device on the planet has one is insane.

There are third-party apps you can use if that's something that's important to you.
