What changes do I need to make with respect to owner ID and password before donating my mid 2010 Mac Pro to a school?

changing ownership without affecting docs? hi all- my wife and i are separating, and she has a macbook pro that has been her primary machine for years, i never touch it unless she needs IT support, hahaa. however it is established under my user ID. i've searched on how to change ownership, but cannot find anything on doing so while leaving all documents and settings intact. is there a simple and direct way to do this? thanks in advance!

Transfering Macbook Ownership I have purchased my laptop from my employer and want to sign-in on my Apple ID but it's still using the default version from my previous employer, or rather it doesn't even look like it's signed in, just has their email and name. Is there a way I can sign them out without having to enter their password? When I click sign out a password prompt appears to remove "find my mac". Screenshot attached if that's helpful but details removed. Thanks!
