Email deleted from iPhone is not deleted from my Mac

When I delete emails from my iPhone those emails are not deleted from my Mac and vice versa. How do I get these to sync back up?

Recently (since recent updates maybe??) deleting emails on iphone does not sync and delete on apple mail on macbk What has changed that my deletes, etc on the iphone do not carry over into the mail app on my macbook? I have to go through and duplicate whatever actions I took on the phone. It used to sync fine.
