'Find my' locations delayed (Feb/Mar 2023)

Anyone else notice that Find My - on some/most devices - is very delayed?

Example - from my Mac, half of my devices show last seen between 5 minutes ago and hours ago, even though they're online, right next to me. This is worrisome, and is now impacting "people" (originally

This has been occurring for at least the past month.

I have removed devices (i.e. AirPods Pro) and re-added them, but that has no impact on Find My. Delay continues. No rhyme or reason. Checked Apple Status as well. Issue with *my* devices, *family* devices

note - to admins/community folks - I don't need an FAQ on how to set up Find My; I've been using it since it came out.

This doesn't help solve the issue.

"What can I say" is offensive and condescending.

Nothing to do with losing my mac.
I’m often getting an error of unable to connect to the server. On gigabit fiber, fast 5G, etc.
I do NOT need a support article link.

Internet speed as nothing do with your issue—

Available towers that can triangulate your exact location is the important part of the equation. Try getting off of 5G and see if tower pings change for you.

Not helpful to the User or not helpful to the computer ?

After all, the computer is the sole focus to these Forums and nothing is intended to be personal.

As for What Can I say referral - if I can explain in the Context is which it was presented.

I have four Apple Devices using Fibre Optic to Router and each device is showing in Find My Application.

The User is using a 5G connection if I have that right.

So, comparing a Fibre Optic Connection is working wherein the 5G connection is not giving the User the Expected Results is intuited as companion

Best of luck with this computer issue and hope you get it figured out

Today, my phones + iPads + computers are all reporting in, within reasonable time.

However, my son's phone and watch were last seen at 7:20am (it is now 1:30pm).

Yet, his AirTag was used was last-resort to locate him, within a 2 or 3 mile radius.

(note that AirTags cannot be 'seen' or 'located' by anyone but the owner, but it CAN be used as "last resort" when nothing else works)
