When you insert a Text box object and exceed the dimensions of that object with text, the [+] overflow symbol appears.

Here is how you can eliminate that symbol…

1. You can enlarge the text box so that all text is exposed
2. Select the text and change the font and/or reduce its size
3. Remove some text or white space
4. Insert another Text box and link them so the overflow text spills into the second text box.

See if it's locked. Go to Pages menu Arrange > Unlock.

That could mean there is overflow of text. As in sample below text doesn't all fit into the text box.

Can you select everything and take a screenshot?

Can you take a screenshot? Make sure invisibles and layout are on.

Read my post. The overflow symbol will remain in the text box until you choose one or more of the options I provided. Dragging the text box to the full height of your current page will not remove the overflow condition if there is too much text in it.
