There is a gray box over text in PAGES, how do I get rid of it?

There is a gray box over all my text in PAGES, how do I get select NO GRAY BOX??

Mac mini, macOS 13.0

Hi Metroxing,

Most likely the text is copied from another document or from the internet.

You can try this, (but it will remove formatting such as bold and italic):

Open a new Pages document, type a few random words in a style and font that you want the text to be in.

Select All text from the grey box-document.

Paste it in the new document right after the random words by using Shift-Option-Command-V.

Using this shortcut ensures the new text will be copied and the style will be matched. That should get rid of the grey box around it.
