Internet Accounts cannot open Safari

The following Discussion suggests you need to be using Safari as your default browser for that Google authentication to work: Can't add google account to Monterey - Apple Community.

Try that.

To change your default browser, read Change the default web browser or email app on your Mac - Apple Support.

In that case the easiest way to fix the problem is to remove the affected email account, and then add it back.

• First remove: Log out of or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
• Then add: Add email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
