Documents renamed as numbers

I recently transferred my docs to a new MacBook and all of the names have disappeared and been replaced by random numbers. So I can't find anything as Search and Attach no longer work. How to fix this irritating issue please?

Finder Renaming Painstakingly Slow I work a lot with arranging documents so this is becoming a real issue. Has anyone found any workaround for this? Bought M1 MacBook Pro 16GB RAM a few years back and it was fine until a big update happened around 1 and half year ago or so, I cannot remember which update it was though. The renaming process has become so slow no matter whether I right click and select it from the pop-up, or click on the title of files / folders whilst one is already highlighted. Any advice would be great as this is really bugging me now. The right click option to rename from there is faster, but I dont want to be doing this every time.

If the transfer of files didn't work moving them from one Mac to another, then it may be best to contact Apple Support about this. They'd need to take it from here.
