Open multiple instance of same pages document?

Is it possible to have multiple instances of the same Apple Pages document open on my Mac?

*NOT multiple users on different devices or the same user on different devices.

The usage scenario sought is having for example two instances of an Apple Pages document open on the same Mac. On one it's to read/refer to notes, while editing the document in another window. I know MS Word offers this but I can't find a way to do it in pages. Does that exist in Apple Pages yet?

Yes, it's possible to create another file but this would create additional steps, wasted time, file redundancy, reduced simplicity & focus, etc. That's not what I'm looking for. Just one document seen through two separate windows/instances on the same Mac.
