Apple pencil - Double tap settings missing

Hello,


I'm on iPadOS 16.3.1 and the double-tap settings for my Apple Pencil do not show up under Settings -> Apple Pencil. I see only these options:


  • Only Draw with Apple Pencil
  • Show Effects when using Apple Pencil
  • Allow Double Tap only with Pencil Hover
  • Scribble
  • The two options for the "Pencil Gestures" at the end.


Could you please advise?

You'll want to ensure Double Tap is enabled. You can do so here: Change Apple Pencil (2nd generation) settings - Apple Support


"If you have difficulty using the gestures for Apple Pencil (2nd generation) on supported iPad models, you can adjust the settings.


  1. Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Apple Pencil.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Turn off Double Tap Gesture.
    • Change the duration of the double tap gesture to Slow or Slowest."
