When you are stuck in Guided Access mode, you are really stuck as the typical triple tap on the home button to quit out of Guided Access doesn't work. Even a forced exit won't work because the power button and the home button are disabled.

The only way to get out of Guided Access is to press the Home and Power button together for 15 seconds. This should turn off Guided Access by forcibly rebooting your device. Once your device is restarted, you can then go to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access > Guided Access - and turn off Guided Access if needed.

Hi 0482A82JX-

Welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community

Apple support have an article online that may help:

Use Guided Access on iPhone:

If you scroll down to "End a Guided Access session"

Use Guided Access on iPhone – Apple Support

Eg: says: Do any of the following:

✽. Use the Guided Access passcode: Triple-click the side button or Home button (depending on your iPhone model), then enter the Guided Access passcode.

✽. Use Face ID: On an iPhone with Face ID turned on, double-click the side button, then unlock with Face ID.

✽. Use Touch ID: On an iPhone with Touch ID turned on, double-click the Home button, then unlock with Touch ID.

Hope this helps :)

I feel like this is Apple recommended solution, but the Home button in your solution is disabled no matter what? Even if you go into Options and scroll, there is absolutely no “Enable Home Button” option.

So if you go into Guided Access, maybe make sure your Top-level menu has “Lock screen” and “Home” for safety in case of hardware errors.

Thanks
