My iPad mini just updated to 16.3.1. The font for the time on the Lock Screen is so obviously too big and chunky and completely at odds with elegant Apple typography. Surely Apple must be going to fix this blunder.
To be honest it offends.
OK that’s got that off my chest. If anyone knows a way of correcting this or just getting rid of the clock or the Lock Screen altogether that would be great.

Unlike iOS16 for iPhone, iPadOS 16 for iPad does not support lock screen customisation.
Likewise, the new active Astronomy and Weather Wallpapers are currently exclusive to iOS16.x for iPhone.
You are not the first (and are unlikely to be the last) to be unhappy about the current choice of font for the iPad lock screen. Apple do invite submission of constructive comments and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal - this being the most appropriate channel through which to express your thoughts to Apple.
