Macbook trackpad tap to click issue - 3 taps!

I have a fairly new MB Pro. I prefer tap to click on the trackpad. About 80% of the time, frustratingly I get no response when I tap once and end up having to tap 3 times in order to click on a link, choose multiple items, etc. I never had this problem with my old '09 MB Pro.

Any solutions to this issue..?

Random click issues with trackpad after MacOS Sonoma update on my MacBook Air M1 I updated my office laptop (MacBook Pro intel) and my personal laptop (MacBook Air M1) together to the new MacOS Sonoma after 15 days back. After that I started getting a similar issue on both laptops. The trackpad click (or magic mouse click) were not working in some random areas/buttons of the screen, but for the other places it works. Like for example, I'm able to click most items on my bookmark bar, but last 2-3 links are not clickable, as if the mouse hover is not detected. I was hoping that since many people are facing this issue, Apple would automatically resolve this asap, but the issue still persists and there have been no updates on this. Please look into this issue on priority as it affects my work. Thanks

Secondary click in trackpad not working properly I own the brand new MacBook Pro with M2 Pro running Ventura 13.3 I have set my secondary click in my trackpad to "Click in Bottom Right Corner". Right-click using this method is not working properly; however, when I set it to "Click or Tap with Two Fingers", it works just fine. Anyone facing the same issue? Is there any solution?

Goto Settings > Trackpad > Toggle on Tap to Click

Thanks for your response, but I already have the "Tap to click" setting checked. Still have to tap 3 times, nearly every time...

Hey, you may try to disable and enable the "Tap to click" settings, and if that didn't work, try restarting your mac. If it's still not working, you should reach out to Apple.
