bluetooth unavailable iOS 16.3.1

Since the upgrade to iOS 16.3.1 on a iPhone X, I have problems with Bluetooth connectivity.

I am unable to switch on the bluetooth, it just has the spinning circle symbol where the on/off slider should be.

I've seen potential solutions of pressing volume up then volume down then power off, reset network connections.

Have tried both of these and sometimes they work, but very rarely.

Even tried a full factory reset and that hasn't worked either, although I did restore a backup from iCloud, so whether there's something in the back up that's causing it I can't show.

Is anybody else having this issue?

IF you restored your phone as NEW and not from backup and still have issue then you need to contact Apple support or schedule an appointment with the genius bar and take the phone in.

my mistake, I meant without doing a restore from backup.

anyway, it’s still the same, although initially the Bluetooth was on, then started dropping to unavailable, then switching off, now it’s just spinning circle, occasionally changes to unavailable then back to spinning circle. So it’s beginning to look like a hardware issue, just strange that didn’t start until after the upgrade, could just be coincidence though.
