External Hard Drive constant sleeping

Using a MacBook M1 Pro 16'' - 32GB Ram

I have connected external hard drives (Lacie 1Big - Lacie 2Big - WD Duo and multiple portable drives.

Any drive that it's connected to the laptop goes to sleep constantly even while editing. Obviously I have the setting in system preferences correctly set.

This is serious. And dangerous for the disk drives.

There are other topics that mention this by many many people in which I have commented before but I cannot find those discussion through this s*****d forum.

I have contacted Apple for this and they told to me to format my laptop.

Are you serious? those kind of machines are getting sold to busy people. how can I just format my computer? and then if everything is there as well then what?

Apple this is serious. com on - this is completely unacceptable.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.2
