Text messages from Laptop not sending

After a data transfer, upped MacOS and a new laptop, suddenly I can't send texts from my Mac laptop. I've turned it off, tried closing things down, etc. Thoughts/fixes, please?

Macbook Air Not Sending Text Messages My macbook air (2017) is up to date and everything but it won't send texts to anyone outside of Iphone Users (Imessage). I've tried restarting and setting up my texts again through my Apple ID and nothing fixes it. Could someone tell me why it's not sending them or what I can do to fix it? Most of my family uses android phones and when I'm on my laptop, I've got to be able to respond to them. My phone works fine BTW. It's just my computer. :/

Text Messages Stopped Sending from Mac Why aren't text messages sending from my Mac? iMessages are going thru, but not messages to non-phone users. I have disabled and re-enabled all of the things and restarted and restarted. I am updated on all.

You probably need to re-enable Text Message Forwarding: Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad - Apple Support
