Why is Apple trying to install Stateful Firewall on my 2019 MacBook Pro. It’s taking forever and preventing other apps being updated- is the extra protection worth the wait or should I try to shut the Stateful Firewall Installation down?

Apple neither Owns nor pushes Third Party Security Software
The only Security Software Apple has is Built Into the Operating System
