Focus mode on iPhone doesn't silence all my apps

I set a focus status when I am at work. I set Phone and Team to be allowed to notify, but other apps like telegram and whatsapp still notify! It seems the focus mode does not work!! What can I do?

Hi

It is the first time I am using this Focus, and I don't know if it worked correctly in the past. I am not only receiving phone calls from other apps and all notifications from all apps still make a sound.

The only thing that this focus setting makes a change is that the notification badges are hidden.

Hope you can fix it in the next update.

Cheers!

Hi MahsaZa,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with apps coming through while Focus is set on your iPhone. We'd like to help.

Has this Focus worked correctly in the past? Do you notes if you are only receiving phone calls from other apps? For example, for WhatsApp, are you your notifications for a new chat message silenced but not a call through that same app? This can help us isolate the issue a bit more.

In the meantime, check out these steps to make sure that Focus is set up correctly for when you're working:Use Focus on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Turn on Focus
1. Go to Settings > Focus.
2. Tap a provided Focus option—like Do Not Disturb, Personal, Sleep, or Work—then tap Customize Focus.
3. Set up your Focus. You can select allowed or silenced notifications from people and apps, connect your Lock Screen or Home Screen, have this Focus turn on automatically, and add Focus filters.

You can also enable Time Sensitive notifications from apps, which allows apps not in your allowed list to send notifications marked as Time Sensitive.

You can also turn on Focus from Control Center. Just open Control Center on your iPhone, or on your iPad, touch and hold Focus, then select the Focus you want to turn on.

When you set a Focus, the icon appears in the status bar and on your Lock Screen, and your status is automatically displayed in the Messages app. When people try to send you a message, they'll see that you've silenced notifications, but they can still notify you if it's urgent.

When you use Focus on one device, the setting is automatically applied across your Apple devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID.

Let us know and we'll continue from here.

Cheers!
