I’d like to watch MLS Soccer on my older Apple TV (A1427), OS 7.9. But the link to Sports does not show. We do subscribe Apple TV+ and see shows available there (like Ted Lasso). But there’s no link to Sports. On the Apple TV app on my iPad, I can watch sports. And I can use Airplay to broadcast to the Apple TV. However, I want to eliminate the need for my iPad.
Is my older Apple TV somehow not compatible with sports on Apple TV+??
That would the 3rd gen, which is over 10 years old and no longer receiving updates. It did previously receive a version of the TV app, to be included as one of its server based channels, however it may have reached a point where it will not receive any future enhancements.
