Is there a way to change the background color of calendar from white to light gray? Have been using black background for less blue light, but harder to see the different colors of calendar entries. Would be helpful if possible to do

Thank you for that info. I am trying to stay with Apple calendar to avoid any calendar glitches that drive me nuts. I may try turning brightness down further, the white may look a bit grayer and that could solve this issue.

It is only possible to choose between the color themes in Light Mode and Dark Mode. However, you can change the colors of your calendar so that they match either the light or dark background better.
Alternatively, look for a 3rd party calendar apps. There are a number of them in the App Store.
