Why is the "yellow" tag on my MacBook Air brown?
I was adding some tags to my files and I noticed that the tag marked "yellow" ends up being brown. How can I fix this?

On my MacBook, the red, orange, and yellow tags are almost indistinguishable without the labels - not very helpful for sorting. I tried different color profiles in the display settings, but none of them made any difference.

It appears you have Accessibility>Display feature on— high contrast or some such. Make changes.
no one can say what is best for you, your specific display or monitor, you will have to experiment ..

there is no brown...
if you see brown, read yellow and your issue is resolved. I would not make a big deal of this.
You want to adjust your display/monitor color correction, have at it.
Change your Mac display's color profile - Apple Support
See what your settings are in the System/Accessibility/Display pane are. Mine are set to this and you can see why the three buttons are like:

Changing the color profile to yours did not affect the tags, neither did any of the others:
Also, in /Users/xxxxxxxxx/Library/ColorSync/Profiles I saw this:
